The 2016 administrative and management accounts of Wum council were successfully adopted by the Honorable councilors. This was during the 2016 administrative and management accounts session that held on March 31st 2017. The update of the Wum Council Development Plan was launched during this session and shall be carried out by Positive Vision Cameroon PVC.

The update of the Wum Council Development Plan we must all know is going to have all the future projects of each village or quarter. Any project would henceforth only be considered matured when it comes from this document. The Mayor then called the councilors to mobilize their people, to actively take part as well as assist the team from PVC while on the field for this important exercise.

The Senior Divisional Officer for Menchum, Emvoutou Bita Benoit William on January 20th 2017, officially inaugurated and handed over to the Wum Council, a stretch of road long of 4.2 km, with 5 bridges and 21 culverts, constructed by the commodity value chain development support project, known by its French acronym PADFA. It was indeed a challenge for the council since maintenance works will be focused on the council and the population of Aguli village.

This stretch of road was received with a lot of enthusiasm by the population who have for some years been living is desolation. The road has just passed and development is on its way to Aguli thanks to the Wum council that entails to go back to Aguli with market sheds to enable the population sell their farm produce.

Wum council in Menchum division is more than ever before, determined to build an inclusive society. Prior to this lofty developmental idea, a Memorandum of understanding  (MoU) was signed with the Socio-Economic Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities SEEPD program of the Cameroon Baptist Convention Health Services in 2015 so as to foster this developmental dream of an inclusive society, by involving everyone since everyone is useful. The council has understood that it is a civic responsibility to allow and support the vulnerable to live the best of their ability. After all disability is not inability. Therefore, leave no one behind no matter their physical, economic and social conditions. The council recently received a team from SEEPD program, for a monitory visit with the aim of evaluating the way gone in putting in place, parameters geared at attaining the Sustainable Development Goals SDGs. The team left visibly satisfied with the achievements of the council towards disability inclusive development as they learnt that rams have been constructed in some schools and some buildings.
