Where we are today is as a result of the numerous partnerships Wum council has been able to sign with her development partners with the aim of propelling the municipality to the level of making life habitable for all the inhabitants. The dynamism of the level headed Mayor is a push factor for this lofty dream. The wind beneath the Mayor’s feathers is the council’s executives, the entire Wum Council staff, who will stop at nothing supporting their Mayor, as well as the ever demanding population, who will positively criticize in order for development to be done.

For this development to effectively be carried out, the National Community Driven Development Program, PNDP, stands by the council as a pull factor, while the populations of the municipality stand as the push factor of their development.
On June 21st 2016, the third phase of PNDP was launched here in Wum. This was to enable the council carry out her development endeavors with ease. A Local Support Organizations, LSO, was selected for the update of the Wum Council Development Plan, CDP the development bible of each municipality.

PNDP also actively took part in the selection of consultants for feasibility studies of four (04) projects in Wum Council, for eventual implementation. These projects comprise among others, two (02) classrooms, Head Teacher’s office, VIP toilet and a well with manual pump at G.S Itiaku and G.S Kong-Magha. Twenty two (22) open market sheds at Aguli and fifteen (15) market sheds, a VIP toilet and extension of water at Upkwa.

On March 31st 2017, PNDP was again present during the Wum Council administrative and management session and launched the update of the Wum council development plan.
